A surreal experience, part 1
I apologize in advance, as this will be short and leave you hanging. After I return from getting the hell out of dodge, I will explain the text to follow. Everything is just fine…but for 20 minutes, life took a left turn.
Tonight I came home. Empty highrise; my guests had left and I had all 4,000 sq. ft. to myself. I share a great place with one of my oldest friends. It’s ideal as we have opposite schedules but get to hang out just enough, and the layout is so that we have our own living quarters.
I say all this for a reason, because for 20 minutes, I felt I was not alone at all. Quite the opposite — there was someone speaking to me in horrific tones from the room right next to where I was working. Death threats with words I will not repeat.
In an almost eerily calm fashion, I walked quickly into my roommate’s bedroom, grabbed his 357, loaded it in all chambers, and proceeded into the room where the voice came from, kicking the door open like a Rambo in training. One has to wonder why I didn’t just ‘get out’…but I didn’t. I’ll explain in my next blog…with some insights into the whole ordeal — including 6 officers with AK47s acting like “real” Rambos later in the story.
Tonight, CSI had nothing on Bingo…but all is well. Hang in there…I need some air and dinner. {10}

Jon,
Left hanging…yes!
Everything is alright? Doesn’t sound like it.

I echo these concerns… Please let us know everything was simply AOK..
Something tells me there is a moral to this story… but… tapping foot and waiting impatiently…. breathing heavily to make sure everything is ok first…

OH MY GOD!!! This is terrible. I am glad you are ok! That’s a really, really “violated” feeling.
Someone broke into my car once and stole some stuff. I felt violated, like someone had taken a bit of security I counted on. I can’t imagine having something like that happen to you in your home!
I am glad to hear it was a hoax. It is interesting to think about what we are capable of and why we choose what we do. I’d be interested in hearing more about that it if you care to share.
God Bless!!! I am so sorry this happened to you and I am so glad you are ok now.
