Back But Never The Same
A brief note about the “Power of Spirituality” Seminar last week in Atlanta, GA
“It was…great!”
My partner in M-Power Fitness, Janis Hauser and I were discussing how on earth we would ever be able to explain the events that took place at John Harricharan’s The Power of Spirituality Seminar in Atlanta last week.
“It was…yeah. Well. Wild. Great. Sure…” We were both at a total loss for words. I’m still at a loss, and it’s been almost a week since I returned.
I had the honor of speaking at the event. Considering I was on the panel with guys like Dr. William E. Hablitzel, M.D., author of Dying Was The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me and former Secret Service Agent in charge of Jackie Onassis Kennedy (and former attorney for the Rolling Stones) Bill Carter…well, I felt a bit like a large fish out of water.
John Harricharan is like a father figure to me. If you read one book this year, read John’s classic book The Power Pause. I do not receive a dime for this endorsment, btw. It is just a wonderful book on how to deal with the “only three problems you face in life.” Check it out at PowerPause.com.
I spoke on the power of mind, body and spirit. When combined, the three make an unbreakable rod. But most of us will ignore one or two of these elements in favor of our strongest suit.
I contend that the physical is the foundation. You can develop the mind and spirit from here to infinity, but without the body to carry your message to others, your life is simply not as wonderful as it could be.
I will not try and explain all the events of last week. Suffice it to say: I was reconnected to some age-old friends whom I love dearly, and the world does not look the same.
A Few Pictures From “The Power of Spirituality” Seminar
(L to R) Susan Apollon, author of “Touched by the Extraordinary”, marketing genius Butch James, host and author of “The Power Pause”, John Harricharan, Yasmin Verdi from the UK, myself, and top motivational speaker Josh Hinds.
With host John Harricharan and our friend Yasmin Verdi. You feel a bit funky when you’re around a bunch of guru-types and you’re wearing a revealing T-shirt. But hey…I had just come from the hotel gym. I practice what I preach… : )
(L to R) Yours truly, Yasmin Verdi, one of the true pioneers in the Internet marketing world and the movement for peace Rick Beneteau, poet Heather O’Hara, John Harricharan, and founder of 10MillionPosters.com (a site that donates the vast majority of its profits to house war refugees), Robert Evans.
On the question and answer panel (L to R) Josh Hinds, Dr.William E. Hablitzel, myself, poet and author Terri Marie, and Butch James. Moderator: Rick Beneteau.
My friend Yasmin wanted to hug the “Muscle Man”…apparently my nickname among her friends and my readers in the U.K. (Not that I mind.) Such a sweetheart!
