Brief update
If this isn’t the shortest blog I’ve done yet, well…it is. Just run with it.
I’m out of food (my mistake) and having to cook and scrounge like the rest of you 10ers. Ha on me, eh? However, during the mayhem, I’ve managed to eat right on track (4 MasterMeals today in prep for Thursday) and will train tomorrow, both cardio and weights. It’s growing…the momentum, that is.
That’s the low-down. Mucho work to do tonight…but I have one more surprise for ya: I uploaded my 6 fav songs in case you’re interested. They’re in my Just When I Thought blog, so click that link and prep for musical amusement.
Keep it tight, steady, and stay your mind on the goal of 10 in 10. I’m a pound away, btw. {10}

got the evening off from the hospital.required before i took my frustration out on the staff.or fittings.I got my sister eating more protein and more often, but she hasn’t got the energy yet to exercise. Do you think it’ll just come(its only been 2 days)or is there something else to try? She is working a 12 hour day. In bed by 8pm she tells me. When you get up right? Liking your last idea, and I’m sending you a website to check out.

Okay… the song uploads are really cool. Just another reason you are the one and only Bingo.
BTW… I don’t think I’ll be able to look at a turkey now without thinking of Uncle Mubamba.
Thanks for the constant inspiration and kick in the rear. It’s going to help me hit those weights hard today!

Following the blog with great enjoyment and much tittering. As a veggie Scotsman, Thanksgiving should hold no fears but, damn it all - my songwriting partner over here in Thailand is American and his wife had to go and invite us over to share in the joy??? of whatever this thing is about. Yeeha!
By the way, I’m on the verge of buying M-Power but wanted to check - on the 1st secure purchase page the Paypal logo is up there but after putting in the country and zip code and going to the next page, it disappears. Que pasa? Can I use Paypal or not?
Cheers for the noo - Jim B
PS. Don’t know if you’ve ever caught a British band called Muse, sort of like the bastard children of Radiohead but they have many top tunes to offer.

I feel so out of place with everybody here.
All of you listen to rock. Is there anybody out there who enjoys dance music?

Hey Anna - yes I listen to dance, pop, electronica, jazz, blues, classical, Sinatra - almost anything really - except what is now called R&B. That used to mean rhythm & blues - from Fats Domino to james Brown to the Rolling Stones. But the new stuff - all sickly-sweet-sugar-coated-honey-dripping-saccharine-smothered-sapiness - nah!
There’s just something about rock that suits working out - especially with weights - maybe it’s the hint of aggression in rock that helps. For cardio - anything works I suppose - as long as you can hear it over the dull roar of the treadmill / bike / ski machine / rower etc. Whatever splits you bagel - oh - no bagels anymore right………
Have fun - Jim B

I listen to dance music too, Anna… along with all other types of music. Take today for example, I was listening to Gwen Stefani. It’s whatever motivates you.

Happy Turkey Day to everyone! I think your idea of the audio is an awesome one, Jon. I listened to your songs and until I listened to the words and picked up their different beats I wouldn’t have chosen them to workout to. I still love rock ‘n roll to do my cardio to, though. I was a dancer and taught aerobics so I really get into good beats and screaming along with the screaming! I got strange looks, though, at health clubs so I decided to stick to the workout room in my building and let loose. I do have a plan for T-Day including some white meat, squash (which I am bringing so I can be sure to have something I allow myself and on my plan), salad and beans. My family has become more supportive of my new nutritional program and makes sure to have some food that is acceptable. This marks this first year that I have been relieved of the severe depression and pull towards eating out of emotions so I will succeed at continuing the success and enjoying my family and reminding myself of all that I am grateful for ( I highly recommend writing in a gratitude journel every day and include those things that you acknowledge yourself for-the success and accomplishments which supports empowerment and abundance versus failures and scarcity). Make it an abundant day in mind and spirit! Tammy

Hi Gabe,
I sip on a solution (drink) of branched-chained amino acids. I like the supplements from Beverly International, a small company run by a husband and wife team. I’ve met the husband and he’s a no frills stand-up biochemist. I find that sipping the drink during cardio and weights lifting makes a difference in terms of strenght and recovery. The supplement is called Glutamine Select-pricey but worth it. I also use BI’s whey proteins; they are excellent high quality supplements. Again, no frills but good stuff.
I hope this helps.
To Anna-
I listen to trance during my workouts-luv it. I listened to Madonna’s latest CD this morning during my workout-very dancy/housy type of music. I really enjoyed it.
I worked out a few times in this gym in North Dallas that played heavy metal (yikes). I can see how the “rock” component was motivating for weights but I had to somewhat block it out to concentrate on my lifts. My current gym plays lots of 80s and 90s stuff (kinda eek-y). I usually plug into my own music at the gym ‘cause I really don’t care for the music playing above. I worked out at a gym in Miami once, and they played club dance music-I was in heaven! But again, this was South Beach….

Hi All,
I agree with liking different kinds of music. I like about everything except twangy country and the classical violin I was trained in (totally burned out on that one). However I really like certain styles for certain activities. For cardio; dance and techno, for lifting; aggressive/ old style rock, for reading books; blues, for sex; ha, not gonna tell!
Jon, having a medical background I am coming up with all sorts of ideas for your photoshop/pharmacutical ads. But just for starters how about Olestra and anal leakage? Some 10er might face that choice during the holidays.

Tell your sister is usually gets worse before it gets better. Energy comes from enzymes, so it’s best to take some digestive enzymes when you’ve been eating poorly…that helps. It takes a week or so to adjust to any new change in nutrition (good or bad), so patience is a virtue. : )
To Julius:
Bingo blesses you upon this non-holy-Bingo day… : ) Thanks man, and have a good T-Day!
To Jim B:
Thanks for the update, and man…sounds like a blast going to Thailand! I’ve heard The Muse, and yeah…cool band that listens to Radiohead a lot. : ) Kinda like…geez…every cool band these days. I’m waiting for the ‘next’ cool band, but it may be awhile.
About M-Power: the PayPal feature is turned off in our system, and I would imagine the shopping cart cannot display the logo “y/n” if I have it turned off.
However, yes…you can PayPal me direct and purchase M-Power (I’ll put this all on the blog too…). The only issue with PayPal is the hit on $295 — I’m not kidding when I said we cut this price as low as possible! So, for the few who have requested, we have them PayPal me $315 to cover the hit.
Let me know if this is acceptable:

That’s my PayPal ID.
Looking forward to having you Jim! Once I receive your PayPal notification, I will manually enter you into the system and send you the registration instructions.
Prepare for 48 very cool, intense and satisfying weeks.
P.S. Scotland…it’s on my “must visit” list, btw.
To Anna:
Yeah, I’m not keen on it, but like I said…tastes will vary. I just like raw and real drummers. HA. We love ya anyway, ya dancin’ foo… : )
To Gabe:
No sir…better trick for you: 5 grams of powdered L-Glutamine mixed with Creatine, and 5 desiccated liver tabs. Practically no calories or spikes in blood sugar that way, and that’s plenty to prevent muscle breakdown…unless I look scrawny to you. : )
To Tammy:
Lyrics? You can decipher the lyrics? : )
Some of the music I like has lyrics that are not suitable for children, adults, cats, dogs, fleas, ticks and other rodents. I covered this in another blog. The benefits of being NLP-trained is that I can hear something and see something (as long as I’m prepared) and not have it affect me due to some simple de-conditioning stuff I do prior and after. Otherwise, yeah…negative lyrics could drag you down fast.
Still, “One” is hardly negative. “March” is…well, if you can understand what Trent is saying, you have better ears than I do…but I know since I looked it up. Typical NIN — about as dark as dark gets, but it’s directed ‘at’ something. This is an odd distinction for me: I can find ‘another’ person’s anger cathartic as I don’t have to process it. I know, I’m strange. Still, if you’re a Christian or of other faiths that don’t want to hear swear words, I completely understand and respect that. I don’t listen to stuff that’s full of them myself — that even gets on my nerves. : ) “A Day In The Life” is completely neutral…the lyrics mean nothing really. “Combination” is pure street — I’ll give you a buck if you can tell me what Joe is yelling about. : ) And the Radiohead: “Creep” is very dark but very beautiful at the same time. I enjoy the longing in Yorke’s voice. As far as the line, “You’re so f—-ing special…I wish I were special…but I’m a creep…I’m a weirdo…”, I can understand why that would bum most anyone out. Then again, I’m living it ‘through’ someone else, not through myself…although I WOULD feel that way around Claire Forlani. : ) Lastly, “2+2=5” is about a lyrically dense as you can get; nothing ‘bad’ there. So, that’s my lyrical defense.
I also like Chris Tomlin, believe it or not… : )
Your closing statements about abundance — WOW. EXCELLENT!! Everyone should be so wise, Tammy…and thank you for sharing your wisdom with us. Great idea.
To Dr. J:
Damn, if we don’t think alike…I am writing as I read, and I just read your response to Gabe. Gabe, Beverly is a great company…one of the few. 100% right-on advice (see, I deserve a Ph.D., now don’t I? I was offered an honorary Ph.D., but she was too old for me…)
If you think the music is “eek-y” in the gym, please do not listen to the tunes I upload. “March” will make most metal gym music look like the soundtrack to “Mary Poppins”… : )
To Cherie:
Great idea about Olestra. Nothing like a FAT YOU CAN’T USE…what WILL the FDA pass next, me thinks to meself. : ) F-n sold-out bastards. (Yeah, I have harsh words…sorry to all who are offended by such lingo…Bingo will try to keep his Lingo in check…but the FDA chaps my…pooter.)
To Anna:
Rock the house with your beats and your workout…all else is conversation. : )

Hey all, happy Turkey Day. For me, since I eat a good bit of turkey most weeks (I don’t like chicken) I am having a tuna steak, salad and green beans for dinner. No dessert in the house - didn’t see a need for it. Thanksgiving is a THURSDAY. It’s another DAY. Same meals will be eaten on THURSDAY as any other day in my mind.
The difference will be who happens to be at the house when the meals are eaten. Jon, I ran out of food as well and had to brave Whole Foods the DAY before Thanksgiving - now that’s determination to stay on plan.
I have a Power Spin class in the morning and a weight workout after that. I had a GREAT shoulder/back workout today powered by my Ipod. My Ipod rocks! Keeps me motivated and when a really great song comes on, I can usually fit in another set ;-).
GO ANNA!! Glad to hear you are inspired. GO everyone else as well and congrats to you Jon on your almost 10 in 10! I’ve lost an inch and a half but only 2 pounds. I am fine with this. The fat is leaving and the muscle is staying put despite a large amount of running - I’m jazzed.
“See” you all tomorrow.

To Jim B…you hit the nail right on the head about “todays” R&B…you just left out that it’s also coated with ‘natural flavors’…and, I believe, just as bad for you.
