Super glad to hear from you Jon, was feeling abandoned. Can’t wait for your news. Really need some more 10 in 10. Scale the world is great. I am rereading everything and writing down the points you are making, and doing the homework of course. Waiting with bated breath for 10 to continue. Just have to learn that your few days may mean a few weeks, oh well

I know the short shingding my kids frequent takes at least 6 months of emailing, meetings, trainings, thinking up the activities etc, and the booking of the facilities a year ahead. yep yep mentioning further work at this stressful time,I know, clanger, you can always go find that beach.

I actually never heard this skit - but looked it up this morning - cute. I’m struggling to tie it in to the thread … but that’s the charm of this blog - you just NEVER know what’s going to come up next…
Jon-did you google Mike’s phone number? Sometimes they return an address.

I really hope this big news is the release date of 7mm.
Elizabeth….this is a carry over of the last entry you made in the last blog, about trainig for the Tri-athalon and you rate of “discarding fat”.
Some questions for clarification.
Did you mean that you do two hours of cardio EACH DAY m-f?
Also, what is your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate)?

How about a personal trainer to assist with 10-in-10. One of my authors, Gordon Waddell, CSCS, has just posted on how to pick a trainer - and let me tell you, it is a mixture of the “truth”, the “holy” and a pinch of the “parrot” - all in one big dirty bomb! Read it at http://www.thefitwomanonline.blogspot.com - 3/3/06 entry. I’m still sweating.
Ciao for now - Janet, http://www.thefitwoman.com

Never mind. I just received them when I entered mine. Jon, could you please send me Lee’s email address? He said I could get it from you. I am going to Germany in 3 weeks and would like to ask him some information. How can I set a goal of losing 3 in 3?! I do NOT want to go backwards while there, with the vast changes in diet and my exercise routine (no treadmill or weights). I know I can get out and walk and would like to find somewhere to combine some time sightseeing and exercising (ie. hiking tour or something). Any ideas?

Hi Jon,
After your bout with gout, not laughing, what amount of protein would you now recommend for females on a daily basis?
Not looking for serious bodybuilding here, just still trying to shed the fat and get lean.
Ok, the guys might like it if you tell them what your new take on this subject is too.
Thanks so much!

To Janet:
Sure thing…just forward the info to him and we’ll need to talk. Thanks!
To Tammy:
Answered by email…
To Kay:
Actually my recommendations for protein have not changed. Gout is not caused by excessive protein. Those ‘with’ gout should be careful with protein, but in all honesty I consumed far more protein in the past without ever having gout. In my case, it was not drinking enough water that was the primary culprit, along with Lysine. My recommendations vary depending on the person’s goals.

Joe: Yes, I do 2 hours of cardio a day. My daily standard is running 7 miles on lunch. In January I added an hour of swimming in the evening M-W-F and spinning T-Th. On weekends I do long runs(10-20 miles depending) and “bricks” swim-bike-run combo. From the workout you’d assume I’m pretty buff … I’m not! I’m hanging at 23%bf - sigh! I calculated my BMR at 1100. Friday I put a call in to a local sports nutritionist. As soon as she has an opening I’m going to go get some professional help. I’ll keep everybody posted on my findings.

Tammy, I suspect you are referring to being unable to see new comments until you post a new one.
That means that your browser is caching the web page (saving it) and serving it back to you. Hence, you see the old page.

Now I’m wondering if I’ll just gain it back if i ever eat normally again. Actually had a couple dry crackers today. This is living!

Hey Bingo!!
I hope all is well with you and you’re making massive progress on any and all projects you’ve got going….including your own 10-in-10-II :)
I was thinking about you today. I was driving and looking at the sunshine and the clear blue sky and the signs of spring starting to come alive here in the northeast (ignoring the 20 degree temperatures and howling wind, mind you :) and I was overwhelmed with the beauty of it and I’m pretty sure I had a dopey grin on my face and yes, even shed a tear or two of joy….soaking in the positive vibes of the universe, you know? Quite a contrast to last year at this time where I was more likely shedding tears of sadness and loss. Why the difference you may ask? Even if you don’t ask, here goes….one of the biggest blessings in my life this past year has been what I’ve learned through the M-Power audios….thank you Bingo for the program and all the work you put into it.
Whatever you’ve got going, I know it’ll be masterful when it’s unveiled, and I hope all is well in Bingo’s House.
(It’s kinda scary….I’ve heard your voice more this past year than any other person, I think!! Yikes! Does that mean I need to get out more?)

Where are you in the Northeast? I’m in Pittsburgh! I had a similar “moment of jubilation” this past weekend as I walked around my yard in the sunshine checking out the Crocus, Daffodils, Snow Drops and Robins :-) I actually got a slight sunburn on my face during my long run - yaHOOO!!

It’s raining and raining here in N. Calif. and when it’s not raining it’s freezing. The chardonay and pinot noir are starting to emerge from their winters sleep and has us scrambling in the wee morning hours to protect those tiny new buds. So yes we follow the rythem of mother earth and begin anew. Life is good!

Hey Elizabeth :)
I’m in the SW corner of NY state, about half an hour from Erie and about 2.5 hours north of Pittsburgh.
Signs of Spring here: no crocus yet, but the geese have returned from the South, at least the more hardy ones, and farmers are tapping their maple trees for sap. High today in the 30’s, low in the 20’s….Hurry up Spring!!

Tonight is my first fund-raising activity for Team in Training - a Monte Carlo Night. I never realized how much work went into these things!! I’ve been making batches of fattening, spicy, yummy hors d’oeuvres for a week … good thing it’s been nice enough outside for me to run it off - LOL!!!
Paul-
“it never rains in southern california” - maybe all the rain is up north - LOL - you’re a wine-maker? grape-grower?
Alyson-
I dated a guy from West Springfield for a couple of years so I’m familiar with the area - love the lake - but too much snow! There’s an annual PGH to Erie bike ride. Have you heard of it? I’ve also considered signing up for the Presque Isle marathon (September) - time will tell :-)

Elizabeth,
S. Calif. and N. Calif. are worlds apart..
I am an amateur winemaker but a professional grape grower. We have our own ranches and also mangage vineyards for other owners throughout Sonoma, Napa and Mendocino counties..
Team in training is a great organiztion good luck with that. Are you running the marathon? I ran a 50K last weekend in the pouring rain N. of Sacramento.
It’s a gorgeous day here..blue sky big puffy clouds..I’m off for a walk..then my son’s swim meet.
