Total Body Makeover: An Almost Impartial Review

When fitness publishers Lewis Wolk and Sarah Hougen contacted me and asked for an “impartial review” of their latest work, “Total Body Makeover”, I had to ask a simple question:

Why?

After all, the predecessor to this work, “All Star’s Secrets”, pretty much covered the gamut…or so I thought.

AtoZ’s recent effort surpasses even All Star’s scope of literal “A” to “Z” fitness strategies from not one but EIGHT of the world’s top trainers.

These men and women went the extra mile, including photos of real people doing real exercises and getting real results. That’s important to me. It’s easy for fitness “superstars” to show us how to get fit. Right. Most of them were BORN fit. AtoZ went out of the way to find the men and women who are living in the real world, and that’s something I truly appreciate.

One thing I have always emphasized in my writings is the fact that there is not one set “way” to train or to eat in order to get results. Everyone is different; therefore some degree of role modeling is crucial for success. Lewis and Sarah picked up on this fact and took it to a wonderful level in “Total Body Makeover.” You will receive multiple plans and approaches, each detailed down to specifics:

  1. How to work out at home for optimal fat loss and muscle tone…
  2. How to eat to keep the fat off for life…
  3. How to approach your workouts with enthusiasm…

And much more.

Here are just a few of my favorite goodies…

: : Gary Matthews includes a gem: “In-home” strength training for beginners to advanced athletes. The pictures are nicely done and will show you exactly what to do in order to increase functional strength, muscle tone and definition.

: : Karen Sessions provides her 30-day “Body Transformation”, covering mind, exercise, and nutrition steps to get the body you deserve.

: : Lynn Bode in chapter 6 shows you how to make exercise and nutrition a “habit to enjoy.” I love that! Can you imagine it? Learning how to replace those ‘bad’ habits of, say, snacking at night, with ‘great’ habits like moving your body and craving healthy food? It sure would make getting fit a lot easier, now wouldn’t it?

: : Kyle Battis, a good friend of mine, chimes in with his “Fat-burning Workout” in Chapter Eight. Wow…get ready to INCINERATE that body fat! This workout is not for those of you who have no fat to burn!

Above all, my five-star, two-thumbs-up review of “Total Body Makeover” is not based on just the quality of the information, but upon how practical and friendly it is delivered. There are no complicated formulas or needless guilt-trips anywhere to be found. This is just the good stuff. Practical, functional, and extremely effective.

If you are ready for your Total Body Makeover, pick up AtoZ’s latest book today. I have it on my hard drive for a darn good reason:

It rocks.
